Top 10 Bookish Podcasts

The world of podcasts is relatively new to me having only recently been recommended a few to try. It’s a dangerous hole you can escape into where you surface with more and more books to add to nightstands, bookshelves, and lists… But makes for an easier commute!
 Here are 10 Bookish podcasts for you to check out…
1.      BOOK RIOT         

A weekly news and talk show about what’s new, cool and worth talking about in the world of books and reading, brought to you by the editor’s of



Hosted by Anne Bogel (Blogger Modern Mrs Darcy). Each episode is an interview with a reader and they choose three books they love, one book they hate, and their current read, then Anne chooses three recommendations about what to read next. So interesting and I love that she can come up with books without any prior knowledge of the person.



MuggleCast is the most listened-to Harry Potter podcast online and the only one that releases regularly. With each new episode, the latest Potter news is covered while having in-depth discussions about everything Potter related.



An amazing podcast for pop culture and comic book fans – the hosts have great chemistry and is great for longtime fans and newcomers to comic books. Each episode features new and current titles, collected trades and their take on current pop culture news.

Lore is an award-winning podcast that explores the truth behind scary stories. Each episode explores the creatures, people and places of our wildest nightmares. Because sometimes the truth is more frightening than fiction.



If you want a podcast that will fill up your to-read list as fast as possible, this is the one to check out. Though they’re not making any more episodes you’ll never be without a book on your nightstand with their library of 400 episodes.



A bi-monthly book conversation hosted by essayist Julia Pistell, writer and critic Tod Goldberg and Rider Strong from Boy Meets World. The books range from Pulitzer prize winners to more youth-oriented books like Nancy Drew. The hosts have a great dynamic and will certainly appeal to those nostalgic for the 90s.



Book Club Appetizer is the snackable podcast to help you kick off your book club meetings or enhance your solo reading adventures. Every month hosts Abbe and Emma—two book addicts from Read It Forward—select a tantalizing book that’s ripe for discussion, then recap the plot and characters, and invite the author into the studio for an interview and a brief reading.
